can anyone tell me why the CSS code i've used on the following page does not change the scrollbar to black?

http://www.step-aside.co.uk

Thanks very much to anyone that can help, I'm kind of clueless, I thought it should have worked and don't know whats wrong (BTW, i'm also loading a style sheet from the header which applys the CSS code to the scroll bar as well as the code embedded in the HTML)

Hi.

We cannot access the mentioned URL.

Please change your domain nameservers to the following ASAP:
NS1.SERVER2B.COM
NS2.SERVER2B.COM

Then allow about 24 hours for the DNS propagation.

Thank you for using our services.

Is the fact that "scrollbar-base-color" is a composite property, causing a conflict with "scrollbar-arrow-color" which is trying to color on element of the composite scrollbar?

scrollbar-base-color "Sets or retrieves the color of the main elements of a scroll bar, which include the scroll box, track, and scroll arrows.".

It's fine for me, U guys said the same in your support ticket, it was fine then too... and I just checked now and it's still fine, I'm sure that I changed the nameservers already. You can't vew the page at all?

- THanks rik, i'm gonna correct that up and see if it works, I didn't realise those things could conflict !!

Hi.

We can see that you have changed the nameservers and now we can access your site fine.

Please let us know if Rik's suggestion worked for you.

Thank you.

unfortunately not! :-( as you can see i've changed the CSS code in the pages again, this is now loaded excusively in those pages and not from the .CSS file. However, it has no effect on the browsers scroll bar or any of the iframe scrollbars :(

The thing is... I've done this before a long time ago and it just *worked* but now... nothing :-s

I'm gonna keep trying to sort it but if anyone has any suggestions i'd be very greatful

Matt,

Please just remove the following line from the top of your HTML-code:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Then everything should work fine for you.
Please inform us about the the results here in forums.

Just saw another site with a black scrollbar. This is their style code:

<style type="text/css">BODY {scrollbar-face-color: black; scrollbar-shadow-color: gold; scrollbar-track-color: gold; scrollbar-arrow-color: #ffffff;}</style>
